MINNEAPOLIS (Sept. 25, 2012) – The snocross stars of tomorrow are racing 120cc sleds at AMSOIL Championships Snocross events today. And helping those kids, with a smart promotion in the form of U.S. Savings Bonds for the podium finishers, is the Iowa-based Recreation Sports – longtime sponsor of the popular 120 program run at all the national stops on the ACSS tour.
With more races and championships being won on Recreation Motorsports engines than any other brand, Rec Sports has been constructing and testing performance snowmobiles, motorcycles and ATVs since 1993, servicing championship-winning Arctic Cat Z120s, Polaris XC120s and Ski-Doo Mini Zs snowmobiles – the same sleds that’ll be featured this winter as a thrilling added attraction to the ACS’ Pro classes!
“We’re pumped to be back on board with ISOC and the AMSOIL Championship Snocross as the title sponsor of the 120 races,” said Scott Minzenmeyer, founder of Rec Sports. “We’re returning this year with our U.S. Savings Bonds, a program that has given back thousands of dollars to the 120 class podium finishers on the ACSS tour.”
With more championships being won on Rec Sports he world’s leading supplier for 120 snowmobile parts, Rec Sports was on board back in 2000 when the first Mini Zs came out from Ski-Doo. Since then Rec Sport has built winning performance combinations for Arctic Cat, Polaris and Yamaha junior race sleds. And in addition to the U.S. Savings Bond program ($200 for 1st, $100 for 2nd and $75 for 3rd), Rec Sports is also responsible for the giant five-foot trophies that dwarf the winners of the ACSS 120 Nationals – from Duluth to Lake Geneva!
“The best part is when the pro racers come out and line the fence to watch the kids race,” said Minzenmeyer. “Levi, Ross and Tucker all were out to watch the ISOC ACS 120 class championship last year at Lake Geneva.”
