SOARING EAGLE RESORT & CASINO – MT. PLEASANT, MI- (FEBRUARY 24, 2017),  A new day, a new set of rules, rain and mud in Round 11, but today, Mother Nature would bring winds throughout the day along with snow, and much colder temps.
Despite the less than ideal weather, the crowds lined the hill to watch the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series Presented by RAM finish up the RAM Trucks Snocross National finale for Round 12 of the 2017 Season.

PRO LITE
When the final checker flag flew for the heat races, there were six different winners in the Pro Lite division, Marcus Ogemar Hellgren, Jake Angove, Nickolas Lorenz, Jacob Yurk, Daniel Benham and Event Daudt all with first place finishes with several of the same riders locking in a top five finish in the other heat race.

Although the riders have had to adjust to some very challenging track conditions throughout the weekend, the fans at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort are in for a great show for the Pro Lite final. After six different winners in the heat races, it is anyone’s guess who will come home victorious in Round 12.  Bar-to-bar racing early on up front after Daniel Benham(221) took the early lead followed by Jake Angove(177) and Aki Philaja(128).  
 
Lap-after-Lap Daniel Benham(221) would lead the field, but Jake Angove(177) was pushing hard to challenge for first, eventually Angove would make his move and make the pass for the lead. Philaja not far behind in third, follows Angove’s lead, and puts Daniel Benham(221) back into third. Mid-way through the race Jacob Yurk(727) would stick the nose of his sled in there to challenge for a podium spot, but was unable to make a pass and would finish in fourth. Cole Cottew(21) rounds of the top five while Angove would go on to take his first win since Duluth while Aki took second and Benham rounded off the top three.

PRO OPEN
Solid heat race action saw Tucker Hibbert(68) take the top qualifier of the night with two first places finishes. Round 11 winner Kody Kamm(53) grabbed a first and a fourth while points leader Tim Tremblay(11) ran double deuce’s with two second place finishes. Corin Todd(36) ran away from the field in heat 2 to take the checkers for the win while Ross Martin locked in a second and a third place finish.

The final race of the night, the one the fans have all been waiting for is on the line waiting for the green flag. Top qualifer Tucker Hibbert(68) is hoping to continue with a clean sweep for the night, however Tim Tremblay(11) is sure to challenge that notion and continue to build his points lead over the field.
 
Out of the gate and into the first turn, it is Kody Kamm(53) with the Stud Boy Hole shot, followed closely by Tucker Hibbert(68) and Tim Tremblay(11). Back in the pack Petter Narsa(54) and Ross Martin(837) get tangled up in the corner with both off their sleds. Up front, Kamm, Hibbert and Tremblay are battling back and forth for for the lead, Tremblay is able to get the lead followed by Kamm then Hibbert.
Over the AMSOIL finish line, thru the Soaring Eagle corner, they continue to battle. Hibbert would make the move and pass Kamm and begin challenge on Tremblay, passing throgh the FXR corner, Tremblay fighting back would regain the lead, the two drag racing down the front stretch followed by Kamm. Bar-to-Bar, nose-to-tail they race, eventually Hibbert would make the pass over Tremblay for first and would check out from the field.
 
Kamm would challenge Tremblay, but would begin to fall back throughout the race, eventually making a mistake coming off the sled. Elias Ishoel(200) who had been making his way through the field would be there to capitalize and move into the third. Ross Martin(837) and Petter Narsa(54) after being almost a lap back from the start, would come back to finish 9th and 8th respectively. With the checkers in the air, it is Hibbert with a commanding lead followed by Tremblay and Ishoel taking the final podium spot.
