Winter is quickly approaching, and the 2019-2020 schedule for AMSOIL Championship Snocross Powered by RAM has been finalized. Seven World renowned race venues have recently been preparing and getting ready to hold the greatest Snocross racers on the planet. New to the Snocross calendar this year, and the eighth race venue, is none-other then Cannonsburg Ski Area. Cannonsburg is located in Belmont, MI being just North of the states second largest city, Grand Rapids. This schedule will feature a well balanced mix of classic, established sites along with new, contemporary race locations, that guarantee a World class season of Snocross racing.
Located on the Grand River about 30 miles East of Lake Michigan, Grand Rapids boasts a city population of over 188,000 people. The entire Grand Rapids metropolitan area carries a population of over a million individuals, making it a great destination to draw Snocross fans to the greatest show on the snow. The Michigan Snocross National will be taking place March 13th & 14th. ISOC President Carl Schubitzke, expressed “There’s already a great tradition of snowmobiling in Michigan, along with great infrastructure, the decision to go to Cannonsburg Ski Area was a no-brainer. The town, the racers and motorsport enthusiasts we have spoken to, all feel this site has potential to be something great”
Danielle Musto, General Manager of Cannonsburg Ski Area said “We are very excited that AMSOIL Championship Snocross is coming to our ski hill. We’ve been searching for large scale events to host at Cannonsburg and think we have found exactly what we’ve been looking for. Come check out the Michigan Snocross National this coming March.”
