The Jackson Hole Snocross National Presented by Country Cat is in the rearview mirror, although leaving us with much to look forward to for the remaining rounds of AMSOIL Championship Snocross Powered by RAM. The inaugural event in Jackson, WY saw the Worlds Greatest Snocross racers compete on the famed slopes of Snow King Mountain. Round 3 kicked off December 8th where the fans witnessed Tucker Hibbert make an epic comeback. The 10x National Champion started the Pro final in 11th position and was able to pass for the lead on the final corner of the 22 lap main event. Logan Christian picked up his first podium of the year in Round 3 by finishing second. Reigning Champion Kody Kamm solidified the final spot on the podium. That same evening Jacob Yurk earned his first career Pro Lite Victory. Yurk commented that the win was “the best moment in his life”. The young rider from Christian Bros Racing topped fellow Arctic Cat riders Daniel Benham and Nisse Kjellstrom to make the podium an Arctic Cat sweep. The Snowbike class saw ex Pro Snocross racer Darrin Mees earn his first Snowbike class win while competing on AMSOIL Championship Snocross. Reigning Snowbike Champion Austen Madison crossed the AMSOIL finish in second and Willian Van Hook III in third. The Pro AM Women’s class showcased Malene Anderson sweeping the weekend and taking over the points lead. The Veterans in the sport took to the race track on Saturday during Round 4. The Bauerly brothers of Paul and Kurt took the top 2 positions while Matt Pichner held down the third position on the podium. In Round 4 of the Pro & Pro Lite classes, it was a near repeat to the day prior. Tucker Hibbert extended his win streak to four while Kody Kamm finished second and Logan Christian third. The Pro Lite class saw Daniel Benham earn his second victory of the season with Martin Moland and Jacob Yurk rounding out the podium. The new home to Rounds 3 & 4 in Jackson, WY did not disappoint. The fans were delighted with the beautiful December weather in the Teton Mountains while enjoying the highest caliber of snowmobile racing in the world. With the riders now settling into the groove of the 17 round season, the anticipation is high to head back to the Daytona of Snocross. Rounds 5 & 6 will take place at Canterbury Park for the Pirtek Snocross National Presented by Jimmy Johns on January 5th-6th.
