As the Theisen’s Snocross National has come and gone, Jacob Yurk & Tucker Hibbert have established points leads in the two penultimate classes of AMSOIL Championship Snocross Powered by RAM. The enormous Dubuque crowd was treated to two days of exciting racing as the Worlds Greatest Snocross racers embarked on the new track design in Iowa. Friday solidified Jacob Yurk as a true championship threat, as he dominated Round 13 in the Pro Lite class. The following evening, Aki Pihlaja ended Arctic Cats Pro Lite win streak as he piloted his Ski-Doo to victory with a slight advantage over Jacob Yurk. With Yurk’s stellar performance last weekend, he will be boasting a slim one point advantage in the championship standings with only two rounds remaining. In the premier Pro class, Tucker Hibbert once again was on rails as he put on two dominating performances in the Quad Cities. The junior classes were highlighted by Evan Christian, as he was able to sweep the Sport Lite classes and ensure himself as one to watch in the upcoming seasons. With only the Ram Trucks Snocross Grand Finale standing between the racers and a championship, look for this weekends racing to be as epic as the 19 previous seasons in Lake Geneva. Before the crowning of a champion takes place, make sure to check out the podium recap from the Theisen’s Snocross National.
