Shakopee, MN (March 13, 2018) – Sundown Mountain Resort in Dubuque, Iowa, played host to the penultimate event on the Hentges Racing snocross National schedule this past weekend. With just two events left on the schedule, riders Kody Kamm and Petter Narsa were looking to solidify their spots in the Pro points chase. Reigning Pro points champion Kamm was looking to gain ground on the leader as the team heads into the final weekend of the season March 16-18.
Kamm never finished lower than 2nd in qualifiers all weekend, but finals were a different story. The difficult track presented challenges for everyone in the field, and Kamm was no exception.
“We struggled in the mains both days,” Kamm said. “It was frustrating, and definitely not how we wanted things to work out. We’re going to get ready for Lake Geneva and looking to get back on top of the podium!”
Narsa scored a pair of Top 5 finishes on the weekend, missing the podium by one spot with a 4th on Friday. On Saturday he came back to claim 5th. Like Kamm, Narsa finished Top 3 in all his qualifiers.
“The track had a little bit different layout this year and it was challenging,” said Narsa. “I felt good all weekend and we were more than competitive, we just couldn’t get the breaks in the finals. Both nights I got a bad start and it was tough to make up ground on this track. Looking forward to Lake Geneva this weekend!
