For Immediate Release – 22 Mar 2021 — For The season finale race of the Amsoil Championship Snocross Series season, Operation Vet NOW Inc. (OVN) has announced a joint project with the #27 Snow Bike of Jackie Riess and her primary sponsor YETI SnowMX, as well as FLY Racing to honor 8 female veterans at the final race of the season in Eagle River, WI.

“We’re excited about this final race of the year where we will honor eight female veterans who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country’s freedom. In a season that has experienced so many changes due to COVID-19 for the racers, it has been an extraordinary display of patriotism by the Snocross organization and the teams who have carried the names of our fallen heroes throughout the season. As a female veteran myself, I hold a special place in my heart for all of my sisters who have served this great nation. Jackie has made us proud and we look forward to the season finale event and her carrying these 8 names in honor of their service” said Cheryl Aubrey, President of OVN.

The tribute has come to be by the innovation of the #27 Snow Bike, piloted by pro racer Jackie Riess, and the support of her sponsors YETI SnowMX and FLY Racing. FLY Racing is providing a top-of-the-line FLY Racing Formula CC helmet that Riess will wear in the final competition of the season. The helmet and YETI SnowMX snow bike kit will carry a special
design honoring our women heroes, garnering the patches of the military units our heroes were assigned to.

With March being Women’s History Month, it is most fitting that the only female pro racer in the snow bike class carry the names of these American heroes. We applaud Jackie for her never quit attitude and dedication to the sport, she’s a true example for all females who aspire to become great athletes and succeed in whatever they do in life.

Founded in 2018, OVN is managed and operated by Veterans on a volunteer basis. OVN is a nonprofit organization providing informational support for Veterans and their families, who suffer from combat and transitional stress and are advocates in the battle against veteran suicide. OVN also facilitates tributes to fallen service members and Gold Star families, with the objective to ensure they are never forgotten, and their legacies continue to live on.
